Terms and Conditions
When you book with JM Vacations Ltd., you agree to the terms and conditions stated on this page. (Payment of a deposit shall be deemed to be consent to the conditions.)
Bookings & Payment
See your professional travel agent for information and reservations. At the time of booking a non-refundable deposit per person is required. The deposit amount will depend on the package purchased. Full payment must be received by us at least 56 days before departure. If you book within 56 days, full payment is due immediately. If the balance is not received when due, the booking may be cancelled, and cancellation charges apply.
Tickets & Vouchers
Travel documents are sent two weeks prior to the commencement of travel. For documents to be sent earlier by special arrangement, an administrative charge of $50 will apply.
Credit Cards
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Your verbal authorization of the use of your card indicates your compliance with our booking terms and conditions and confirms your reservation whether or not you have actually signed the credit card form.
Cancellation or Change by YOU
The following cancellation charges shall apply:
1) cancellations received up to 56 days prior to departure, the deposit is non-refundable.
2) cancellations received within 56 days prior to departure 100% of cost.
3) future travel credits, regardless if redeemed or not, are 100% non-refundable.
Special fares may be non-refundable at the time of booking.
Acceptance of changes remains at the sole discretion of JM Vacations Ltd. and are subject to charges and/or administration fees. A name correction, change of name, departure date or tour within 56 days of departure makes the booking subject to the full cancellation charge. If rooming requirements are altered due to cancellation of one or more passengers, the passengers still travelling must pay the applicable rate for the accommodation to be occupied. JM Vacations reserves the right to re-sell any cancelled seats or accommodation without refund. Should you request a change or addition to an issued voucher (hotels, car, transfers) there is a charge of $50.
Refunds
No refunds or credits will be made for any portion of the services not used including unused accommodation and car rental. Air tickets are non-refundable, valid only for the flights/dates shown and may not be exchanged or transferred.
Cancellation or Changes by US
From time-to-time construction and roadwork is unavoidable. If we have advance notice and consider the work will have a significant effect on your holiday we will notify your travel agent of the change. Alternate accommodation will be offered if the reserved accommodation is not available for reasons such as overbooking or maintenance problems. Cancellation or changes by us, of all or part if your vacation is unlikely but for reasons beyond our control, it may be necessary. We reserve the right to cancel or change all or part of your vacation but will endeavour to advise you as early as possible. In the event of cancellation or a major change; change of destination, departure or return more than 24 hours, or error in published rates; we will offer an alternative or you may cancel and receive a full refund. You must notify us of your decision within 48 hours of our notice to you. These terms do not apply if the change or cancellation is a result of mechanical problems, safety, weather, strike, war, terrorism, government order or regulation, plague, Act of God, force majeure* or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. (*FM clause includes pandemic, epidemic, quarantine, disease, illness or outbreak.)
Prices
Rates are in Canadian dollars including hotel tax and service charge based on double occupancy (unless otherwise noted). Additional charges for airport taxes are shown separately. Prices are subject to change without notice. In the event of any change beyond our control, including but not limited to increases in the price of fuel, currency fluctuation, or increases in government taxes, JM Vacations Ltd., reserves the right to surcharge passengers. If there is an increase of more than 7%, the customer may cancel for a full refund unless the increase is a result of retail sales tax or goods and services tax. No price increases are permitted after the customer has paid in full.
Not Included
Canadian departure tax and other local airport taxes, tips and all other expenses of a personal nature. City tourist taxes may apply at hotels, charges to be paid locally. Expect to pay extra for beverages where meals are included on tours and at hotels. Gratuities to the tour guide and driver are not included. Comprehensive insurance (including health, baggage, and cancellation) is recommended. Purchase at time of booking. It is your responsibility to obtain and present for travel a valid passport and any other documentation that may be required by government authorities. If travel documents are not in order you may be refused boarding. Entry to another country may be refused even if the required information and travel documents are complete.
Consumer Claims
Living standards and practices at the destination and the standards of conditions there with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodation may differ from those found in Canada. If you should have cause for complaint during your holiday, please contact the hotel management by telephone or in person, so that they may attempt to resolve the situation locally. Failure to inform the hotel or our local representative of your concerns will preclude your right to pursue a claim against us. In the event that a problem cannot be resolved immediately, consumers are requested to provide us, within 15 days of return, written details.
Responsibility
The passenger waives any claim against JM Vacations Ltd., for any damage or loss of property, injury, or death of person due to act or negligence of any bus company, airline, hotel, auto rental company or any other person rendering services. The liability of JM Vacations Ltd. for any loss, damage or injury, whether physical or mental, arising from its own acts, omissions or negligence is limited to the price of the services purchased.
Accommodation
Pictures and descriptions in the brochure and on our website are representations and not a guarantee that everything will be exactly as described or operational year round. Expect to pay extra for use of facilities such as tennis courts, sauna, safety deposit boxes, etc. Regardless of flight arrival or departure time, most hotels have a check-in after 4:00 pm and expect departing guests to vacate rooms by 11:00 am. Requests for specific room allocation cannot be guaranteed. Special requests are at the discretion of the hotel, cannot be confirmed prior to departure and may be subject to charges locally. JM Vacations is not responsible if these special requests are not met.
Flights
Flight times are subject to change without notice. Contact airline (or airline representative at destination) prior to departure to re-confirm flight time. If you purchase only airfare you must provide your travel agent a phone number to contact you at your destination. Passengers booking connecting flights are advised to allow ample time between connecting flight and charter. JM Vacations cannot be held liable for expenses incurred by consumers owing to a missed flight connection. The consumer agrees to assume the cost of any loss in the event of a change to the original flight schedule.

General Information
Prices are in Canadian dollars including VAT tax and service charge based on double occupancy unless otherwise noted. City taxes may apply at hotels, charges to be paid locally. We try to ensure that the information in our brochures is as accurate as possible. However it is printed several months in advance and the hoteliers or other authorities can make changes. Also, errors may occur and we reserve the right to refuse to accept bookings at any price published in error. We cannot guarantee that everything will be exactly as shown or described. Certain facilities may be with charge or not operational year round. Baggage handling not included. Some hotels and apartments do not have porters to assist with luggage. Some properties require a deposit for the air-conditioning and/or TV remote control. Safes are for rent (approx. €10 – €21/week) plus deposit, forfeited if the key is lost. Star ratings are generally as established by foreign tourism authorities although not in every instance. Local standards are not exactly the same as in Canada. Our star ratings are for a guideline only. The “+” symbol means we consider the property offers a better quality of accommodation in its category or other special feature. Regardless of flight arrival time, most hotels have a check-in after 4:00pm. Upon arrival accommodation may not be ready for immediate occupancy, please plan accordingly. It may be possible to purchase accommodation for the night prior to your arrival to ensure immediate occupancy. Request at time of booking.
