The type of information we ask can vary depending on the products or services you want from us. Primarily we require name as on passport and residence telephone. Date of birth is required to determine eligibility for certain age-related discounts or car rentals. Typically if we are to issue travel insurance we additionally require address and marital status. A completed medical questionnaire may be required for insurance coverage for persons aged 55.

We may ask you directly for this information or it may be collected on our behalf by your travel agent.

It is important that you understand and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. Examples of how we may obtain your consent include asking for your consent over the telephone, by fax, or email from you, your travel agent, travelling companion or family member.

Some legal exceptions exist where we do not need your consent to disclose personal information to a law enforcement agency conducting a lawful investigation.

The information we collect about you will enable us to provide the products and services that best meet your needs. The reasons we might ask for personal information and provide it to the professionals we work with include:

• Verify your identity
• Confirm your travel plans
• Determine proper travel insurance coverage
• Meeting regulatory requirements
• Mail brochures or courier travel documents

To meet these purposes we may share your information with our travel suppliers. JM Vacations Ltd. does not release your data to outside companies for mailing lists or other promotional activities. It is your right to refuse to permit us to obtain, use or disclose your personal information. Should you exercise these rights we may not be able to provide you with the products and services you want and it will limit our ability to serve you.
