This trail connects two sections of pre-existing trails and allows you to see the various lakes and wetlands in the western part of S. Miguel. Lasts about 2,5 hours and during the first section you can see Empadadas and Rasa lakes, before climbing to one of the highest points of the island, Serra Devassa. The route then continues inside Mata do Canário (with one of the best views of the lagoa das Sete Cidades), and passes along Lagoa do Canário. The final part of the trail passes trough an area of water springs.
