Featuring Pico da Vara, the highest point of the Island and the “Priolo” birth.
We will enjoy the area’s dramatic natural scenery that includes waterfalls, water mills, fertile valleys and wooden mountains. Nordeste has been awarded “the most flowery village of Europe”.
The area is also the only known “priolo’s” bird ( Azorean Bullfinch) species closed to extinction .
The itinerary also includes a good number of well catered for look-outs, built on strategic places that allow breathtaking scenic views of the area.
