Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of the country, enjoys a dramatic combination of nature excellence and enchanting architecture that resembles gracious Bavaria and traditional Italy.
Santa Catarina State, the beautiful, as defined by the local people, is a bit of paradise with 42 delightful beaches framed by green hills, lagoons, parks and dunes. Florianopolis, the capital city, occupies the most part of the Island of Santa Catarina and some neighbouring districts of the continental part of the State.
Iguassu Falls (Iguaçu in Brazil and Iguazu in Argentina), located on the “Three Frontiers” where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay meet, are one of the wonders of the world, and its National Park has been declared a World Heritage Center by UNESCO. The city’s greatest show is played by 275 water falls that reach up to 82 meters both in Brazil and Argentina.
Rio de Janeiro is the “cultural” capital of Brazil and a monumental city, praised by locals and tourists alike.
Besides the stunning natural landscape in which the city is inserted (mountains, lakes, beaches and one of the world’s largest urban parks) Rio celebrates the biggest street and open air shows in the planet – the carnival and new year’s – of which Copacabana Beach is the main stage.
Sugar Loaf and “Corcovado Mountains” are the perfect look-outs for the most splendid views of the Wonderful City.
