Half Day Faial Island

From higher ground we will be able to appreciate its special natural features and see over the most important aspects of our six century history. Visit a local botanical garden to learn about the endemic flora of the Azores, much of which has become rare in the wild. Following we will stop in the central volcano, the Natural Reserve of Caldeira. Then stop in the northern coast of the island, with spectacular views of the Praia do Norte parish and its lavic delta (Fajã). Then visit the Capelinhos Volcano and the Interpretation Center; with information about the volcanic activity and the eruption that presented Faial with this new land less than 70 years ago.
